Course Purpose

This course provides you with the skills required to use FactoryTalk® AssetCentre software to maximize your control system investment and manage assets effectively. Throughout the course, you will learn how to design a FactoryTalk AssetCentre system, install and configure the software, secure access to the control system, track users’ actions, manage asset configuration files, provide backup and recovery of operating asset configurations, and troubleshoot your system using FactoryTalk AssetCentre software.

Your instructor will demonstrate how to perform all of the tasks covered in this course. You will then be given an opportunity to practice these tasks using a procedures guide and VMware images designed to simulate a real production facility.

After completing this course, you should be able to design and implement a FactoryTalk AssetCentre system, including:

• Developing a full, detailed FactoryTalk AssetCentre system specification
• Configuring source and version control for specified files and assets
• Configuring Disaster Recovery for all desired files and assets
