Advanced Machine Safety Performance with GuardLink 2.0 and the 432ES
Maintain the highest level of industrial machine safety performance in your facility with Rockwell Automation’s GuardLink 432ES-IG3 network interface module. The GuardLink 2.0 protocol simplifies safety device connections in industrial control systems and automatically provides diagnostic information about each device (without requiring extra components, wiring or sensors). With a single 432ES-IG3 module, you can control and monitor up to 96 safety sensors through 3 individual channels. These “machine zones” communicate to a GuardLogix (safety) PLC via EtherNet/IP™. When combined with 440S Guardlink Enabled Taps, the 432ES-IG3 communicates safety and non-safety commands and enables access (on an HMI) to machine safety and process parameters such as cycle time, device description conditions, fault codes and time stamps of fault events. The Guardlink Enabled Tap gives you the power to identify which specific device has caused a state change within a machine zone, enhancing your response time and operational efficiency. Its automatic reset feature further reduces machine downtime by reactivating a device as soon as the state or fault condition is restored.
