SafeZone 3 CIP Safety over Ethernet Laser Scanner

Designed for use on or around dangerous areas, accesses, and hazardous points, the Allen-Bradley® SafeZone™ 3 from Rockwell Automation® is the next-generation safety laser scanner platform. The SafeZone 3 scanner features high-definition distance measurement scanning technology. This scanning technology improves the accuracy of the scan data and increases the scanner’s immunity to dust, smoke, and optical interferences.

CIP safety over EtherNet/IP enables smart safety within your Connected Enterprise and provides rich data from the plant floor. The SafeZone 3 uses the 442L AOP to configure both the EtherNet/IP connection and as well as programming of the scanner.

Bulletin 700-FE and 700-FS Timing Relays

Rockwell Automation is launching a new line of DIN rail mount timing relays. These new products will replace existing 700-FE and 700-FS catalog numbers that will be discontinued in March 2022 (Haz Loc versions will be discontinued in September 2022). Migrate now to the new 700-FE and 700-FS timing relays as the current product will only be available until stock is depleted. New product benefits of ease of selection, reduced inventory, and new timing functions.

Bulletin 141C Crossboard – True Plug and Play Power Distribution System

The CrossBoard System provides flexibility in motor control and protection devices. The out-of-the-box system is provided as one complete base unit, a bus structure with touch-safe plastic housing, which can be directly assembled and fitted with components after unpacking. Components simply snap onto the CrossBoard without tools, meaning the connection is automatic. The CrossBoard system helps keep panels clean, organized, and compact with a large reduction in power wiring.

Optimize operational productivity with the NEW Micro850 & Micro870 controllers

The NEW Mirco850 and Micro870 offer improved controller performance with increased I/O response and code execution time, new protocol connectivity with the addition of DNP3 and expanded DF1 communications support. Easy recognition of new controller options with catalog numbers containing E, for Ethernet connectivity, after the controller series. For example: 2080-L70E.

Rockwell Automation Product Lifecycle & Migration Announcements

MicroLogix 1400 lifecycle status moved to Active Mature

Rockwell Automation has announced that the MicroLogix 1400 (1766-Lxxxx) small controllers lifecycle status has been moved to Active Mature effective January 21, 2022 due to the current semiconductor shortage situation. The MicroLogix 1400 is still fully supported but it is recommended to begin migrations to the Micro800 family of small controllers.

Minotaur Safety Relay (MSR) to Guardmaster Safety Relay (GSR) Migration

Several older Allen-Bradley Minotaur safety relays (MSR) are discontinued and no longer available for sale. Rockwell Automation has published a migration reference manual to the newer Guardmaster safety relays (GSR). The publication suggests examples for how to convert these existing MSR safety relay applications to GSR safety relays with the latest technologies and takes into consideration panel space, wiring terminal locations, and wiring changes.

For more details see migration publication.

Bulletin 855H Electronic Horn Migration Solutions

New technologies can improve and extend the operation of existing equipment and help provide an immediate boost to productivity. By migrating from your legacy 855H Series A Horns and Series C Combination Units to the Series B 855H Industrial Electronic Horns and Series D Combination Units, you can help to decrease downtime, increase speed to market and optimize operations well into the future.

For more details see migration publication.
